In this course, you will learn how to improve how your photos look through editing. I will share my best tricks and tips from years of editing client work.

Who is this class for?

This class is for you if you have ever been disappointed in how your photos look and wish you knew the tricks to great editing.  If you have wondered how photographers edit their photos to produce the best results you are in for a treat.

The goal for this class is that you will be able to improve your photos so that they better match how you remember a moment.

What you will learn:

  • Basic terminology of editing photos.
  • How to correct white balance (colour of light) in your photos.
  • How to judge skin colour and improve it (ever have bluish skin?)
  • The difference between exposure and fixing the shadows and highlights.
  • How to use contrast.
  • What clarity does to a photo.
  • How to apply Lightroom Classic presets.
  • How to make your own presets.
  • Synchonising edits.
  • How to save your edits in Lightroom Classic.
  • How to edit photos in Canva to photos for your projects.

You will receive:

  • Access to the recording of the short course so you can watch it on your own time. (video).
  • Slides of the presentation for keeping (pdf)
  • Ability to ask further questions in the course portal where the recordings and downloads are hosted.

What you need to know:

  • The class recording is 60 minutes.
  • This class teaches you how to edit in Lightroom Classic and Canva with and without a paid subscription. You can also use these tips for the free Lightroom App which does not require a subscription.
  • Recordings and downloads will be hosted in The Memory Curator's online course portal.
